Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: March 24, 2026
Welcome to the website of
Florida Radon Mold & Air Conditioning. By accessing this website or engaging our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms govern our professional relationship and the delivery of
radon testing and mitigation services in Fort Myers, Estero, Venice, and Punta Gorda.
Professional Certifications and Compliance
As a licensed radon company [Link to /about/] in the State of Florida, all services provided by Florida Radon Mold & Air Conditioning are conducted in strict accordance with Chapter 404, Florida Statutes, and Florida Administrative Code 64E-5.
- Licensing: We operate under Radon Business License #RB1816. Our lead specialists hold certifications #R1767 and #R1759.
- Reporting: In compliance with state law, all radon measurement and mitigation results are reported to the Florida Department of Health by the 15th of the following month.
- Standards: All mitigation systems are designed to meet or exceed the Florida Standard for Mitigation of Radon in Existing Buildings.
Scope of Radon Mitigation Services
When you request radon estimate services, the resulting agreement is based on the following conditions:
- Custom System Design: Every home radon mitigation or multi-unit radon mitigation project is site-specific. We reserve the right to modify system designs based on sub-slab diagnostic findings encountered during installation.
- Access to Property: The client must provide clear access to the foundation, attic, and exterior electrical panels as required for the installation of the radon reduction system.
- Permitting: Where local building codes in Charlotte, Lee, or Sarasota Counties require specific electrical or structural permits, Florida Radon Mold & Air Conditioning will coordinate with licensed trades to ensure full compliance.
Radon Testing and Results
Our radon test service [Link to /radon-testing/] utilizes calibrated, state-approved continuous radon monitors.
- Closed-House Conditions: For a valid professional radon testing result, the client must maintain "closed-house conditions" (all windows and exterior doors closed except for normal entry/exit) for 12 hours prior to and during the 48-hour test period. Failure to maintain these conditions may void the test results.
- The 4.0 pCi/L Action Level: In alignment with EPA and Florida DOH guidelines, we recommend radon mitigation for any property with a confirmed average at or above 4.0 pCi/L.
Warranties and System Performance
Florida Radon Mold & Air Conditioning provides a performance warranty on all custom-fabricated systems.
- Post-Mitigation Verification: We provide a post-mitigation verification test after every installation to ensure levels have been reduced.
- Limitations: While our systems are designed for maximum reduction, soil gas levels can be influenced by extreme weather or structural changes to the home. Our warranty covers the mechanical function of the fan and the integrity of the seals.
- Maintenance: Owners are responsible for monitoring the system’s "U-Tube" manometer or audible alarm. If the system indicates a loss of pressure, the client should contact our local radon company contact immediately.
Limitation of Liability
Radon is a naturally occurring gas. While our
Southwest Florida radon specialist team utilizes the most advanced techniques available, Florida Radon Mold & Air Conditioning cannot guarantee the total elimination of all radioactive progeny. Our liability is limited to the repair or adjustment of the installed
radon reduction system. We are not liable for pre-existing structural issues, unforeseen sub-slab obstructions, or health claims related to radon exposure.
Record Retention and Data Privacy
Per Florida Administrative Code, we maintain records of all mitigation activities, including diagnostic data and exposure logs, for a period of 20 years.
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our
Privacy Policy and the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA).
Payments and Service Inquiries
- Estimates: All radon mitigation estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.
- Payment Terms: Payment is due upon completion of the installation and successful post-mitigation testing, unless otherwise specified in a multi-unit property inquiry contract.
- Cancellations: Please provide 48 hours' notice for any changes to scheduled testing and mitigation appointments.
